QuestionI can’t find my serial number. Where is it?AnswerDepending on where you purchased Nitro PDF your serial number may be in one of several different places. Regardless of where you purchased, serial numbers will be in one of the following formats depending on which version you have purchased.
Serial Number Format
Nitro PDF Professional, version 4 (contains alpha and numberic digits):
Nitro PDF Professional, version 5 (contains alpha and numeric digits):
Nitro PDF Professional, version 6 (contains just numeric digits):
Nitro PDF Express, version 1 (contains alpha and number digits):
1. Product ordered from the Nitro PDF store: your order is processed by our partner, Cleverbridge. You will receive an email from firstname.lastname@example.org with a subject of "Reference #xxxxxxx: Your Nitro PDF Professional order" Your serial number will be in the body of the message from Cleverbridge and identified as your "serial number".
Note: Customers who purchased prior to June 2008, would have received an email from our previous partner Element 5. You will receive an email from "Order Information - element 5" with a subject of "License key for (product you ordered)." Your serial number will be in the body of the message from Element 5 and identified as your "license key".
2. Product purchased from a retail store in a box: Your serial number will be printed on the back of the envelope that contains the installation CD. The serial number is identified as a "serial code".
3. Product ordered from an authorized Nitro PDF reseller, or directly from our US sales office, for electronic delivery: Your serial number will be in the body of the email confirming your order.
4. Product ordered from an authorized Nitro PDF reseller, or directly from our US sales office, for physical delivery: Your serial number will be on a label inside the DVD case containing the installation CD.
Additional: Please note that for version 6 of Nitro PDF Professional and version 2 of Nitro PDF Express, the term Serial Number has been replaced with the term License Code.
